Paradise|wasteland is an intuition based series, because when I started I had no idea what the project would
be about. I started out with a couple of favorite older pictures that had nothing to do with each other and
didn't belong to any other projects. They were just lying around, and I thought it was sad because they
were special to me. I decided to just start photographing stuff I found or things I saw during walks in
the neighbourhood, without a theme of goal, and later on I selected the pictures that meant the most to me.
Some of the 'older' pictures I started the project with I threw out, because newer ones replaced them. After a
while these 16 got together, and it became a series about my view on my surroundings and the world, which
continuously shifts between hysterically loving life and not understanding anything of it.
It's also about animals and plants, which I really love.
